Are you looking for a way to support one of United Way's Agenda for Change initiatives by volunteering?

Caregiver Support: The Caregiver Support initiative is making sure that the community has a system in place for caregivers to get and use information in dealing with the care of others.

On September 26th - 27th there will be a Caregiver Family Retreat taking place at Camp Whitcomb-Mason on beautiful Lake Keesus. At this retreat, caregiver families can come for a relaxing night stay and become better acquainted with other caregiver families in the community while their loved one will have free respite care.

VOLUNTEER NEED: Two volunteers are needed to leave by bus from Hadfield Elementary School in Waukesha on Friday, 9/26 at 5:30pm and stay overnight at Camp Whitcomb-Mason and return on Saturday, 9/27 by 3:30pm to Hadfield Elementary School. Volunteers will be assisting with snacks, games, setting up special craft projects and other miscellaneous duties to help camp staff run a fun and relaxing retreat for caregivers.

If you are interested or know of someone who is - please contact Cheryl Udvare at the Volunteer Center Division of United Way for more information or to volunteer at 262-547-8459 or email at cheryl@unitedwaywaukesha.org.
