Volunteers of the Year nominations are being accepted through December 19, 2008 for the annual Volunteer Recgonition & Celebration Event. These prestigious awards have recognized and celebrated the contributions of Waukesha County volunteers for more that 30 years.
Your nomination may lead to a $500 contribution for a deserving non-profit.
NOMINATIONS ARE SOUGHT FOR THE FOLLOWING AWARDS:
- Volunteer of the Year - Recognizes an adult, individual or a couple for exemplary volunteerism through a single act, or a number of acts, benefiting the needs of waukesha county.
- Youth Volunteer of the Year - Presented to a high school student who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in promoting volunteerism in the community.
- Group Volunteers of the Year (3 or more individuals) - Recognizes a group of adults, youth, or both for outstanding volunteer service through a single act, or a number of acts, benefiting the needs of Waukesha County.
- Business Partner of the Year Award - Presented to a business for promoting, encouraging and supporting employee volunteerism.
The Volunteer of the Year Awards will be presented at a luncheon at the Country Springs Hotel, Pewaukee, on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
Nomination forms can be picked up at the United Way in Waukesha County office or online at www.unitedwaywaukesha.org.
Photocopies of nomination forms will be accepted and completed forms can be mailed to Volunteer Center Division, 1717 Paramount Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186. All entries must be received by 4:30 on Friday, December 19, 2008
