The Association of Fundraising Professionals - RI Chapter, AFP-RI, is a local affiliate of the international nonprofit Association of Fundraising Professionals, which represents 26,000 members in 169 chapters throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Our chapter in Rhode Island serves the needs of fundraising professionals in Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut.
AFP's mission is to advance philanthropy by enabling people and organizations to practice effective and ethical fundraising. The core activities through which AFP fulfills this mission include education, training, mentoring, research, credentialing, and advocacy.
