T.R.A.C.E (The Rhode Island Adoption Coalition For Equality)
Our Mission is to restore the equal rights of adopted citizens unrestricted access to their original birth certificates.
Description:
T.R.A.C.E has introduced legislation that if passed would provide adult adopted citizens access to their original birth certificates, a right guaranteed under the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution but is currently denied to them in the State of Rhode Island.
History:
We have been working to get this legislation passed for over 10 years! Hopefully this will be our year now that several other states, including NH and ME have passed laws giving adoptees back their equal rights and access to the OBC. We need your help!
