The MAE Foundation

The MAE Foundation is a unique cancer support organization whose mission is to provide access to alternative and complementary therapies for all cancer patients to help in the healing of their bodies and minds.

Description:
The MAE Foundation was founded in the name and memory of Mary Ann Ellison after she lost her battle with lung cancer. During Mary Ann's illness it was discovered that few resources were available to help provide alternative and complementary therapies to individuals battling the symptoms of their disease and the symptoms of treatment. It is the mission and vision of The MAE Foundation to provide access and assistance to these therapies for cancer patients. Services such as meditation, reiki, and yoga are often not covered by insurance and not available to everyone.

History:
The MAE Foundation was incorporated and received its 501(c)(3) tax exempt status in 2004. Until recently, The MAE Foundation was operating only on an occasional basis with only a few small fundraisers. My goal is to build The MAE Foundation to a national organization providing services throughout the country.
