Lakay Legal Service provides legal consultation and services to low income residents of Rhode Island.

Description:
Lakay Legal Service is a non-profit corporation that seeks to improve the lives of low income communities by providing legal services and empowering with self-advocacy through legal education.
Legal services provided in the areas of divorce, custody, and other family matters; immigration matters; and tennant/ landlord matters; as well as other legal areas.
A free consultation is provided with legal counsel. Services are provided on a sliding scale with limited pro bono services.

History:
Lakay Legal Services was recently founded to provide needed legal service to the low income population of Rhode Island. Our organization has grown to the level where we have legal counsel on staff that provides consultation every Wednesday.
