The African Alliance of Rhode Island exists to promote unity within the local African Communities, to advocate for the rights of Africans in RI, and to educate the American public about Africa while elevating the profile of the continent and facilitating linkages between Americans and Africans. The African Alliance of Rhode Island follows the highest ethical standards in carrying out its mission. We are committed to encouraging professional competence and ethical practices.

To promote unity within the local African Community, To promote Democracy and Human Rights for Africa and the African Community of RI To educate the American public about Africa while elevating the profile of the continent and facilitating linkages between Americans and Africans To provide charitable services to Africa and to the local African Community and to foster positive developments in the US/Africa relations, To facilitate the smooth integration of Africans into the American Society, and to serve as a resource for the African Community in areas of Citizenship and Immigration & Naturalization Services (INS) issues. To serve as a forum to promote and preserve Africas history, culture and social values, To promote Peace and Security for Africa and the African Community of RI, To promote Economic Development, Trade and Investment, and Job Creation for Africa and the African Community of RI, To promote Educational, Healthcare issues and Cultural activities for Africa and the African Community of RI, To foster unity and cooperation between the RI African Community and other local communities. To encourage Sustainable Development and Quality of Life for the African Community of RI. To foster Sustainable Development, Quality of Life and the Environment for Africa.
