Saint Elizabeth Manor, East Bay

We provide a compassionate community through all the ages present here by providing an environment in which we treat one another as we want to be treated: our residents, families, co-workers, pre-school daycare children, community. We value compassion, integrity, and innovation.

Description:
Saint Elizabeth Manor has 133 residents with a range of ages and abilities who reside in three modern wings with many activities, concerts, spirituality offerings, and special resident/family/staff events from the "Roarin' 20's" to group "Wheel of Fortune."
We are a non-profit healthcare facility providing transitional rehabilitative, skilled nursing, Hospice, and respite care for short and long term stays. We have created a very special caring community which includes three llamas, a pot-bellied pig, a donkey, ducks, 2 cats, along with the preschool children in our on-site state-licensed daycare program.

History:
Saint Elizabeth Home was founded at 109 Melrose Street in Providence by the ladies of the Grace Episcopal Church in 1882. Their mission was to provide a caring home for elderly women who were widowed or unmarried and in need of assistance. In 1995 the Saint Elizabeth Community was formed as the parent organization to serve men and women in its four complementary locations in Bristol,Providence, and East Greenwich. The people in the Community's care have access to a full range of services from independent apartments to skilled nursing care, along with a staff who treats them with compassion and respect. It is a dynamic organization providing care for seniors of all income levels with a special emphasis on those individuals with a financial need.
