University Heights Youth After School Program (YRAP)
The University Heights Youth RAP Program is funded by RI Housing and focuses on partnering with other individuals and agencies to provide youth with a variety of educational, social and skill building opportunities. Goals are to provide youth with personal development, leadership opportunities, job readiness skills, academic support, creative recreational opportunities on and off site.
Description:
Our Community Center and Computer Lab is a "drop in" program on site for youth between the ages of 6 and 18. The program is held after school Mon.-Thurs. Field trips are planned throughout the year. We network with other community agencies, vendors and volunteers to provide a variety of diversified opportunities for the youth on and off our site. University Heights is owned and managed by Fairfield Properties.
History:
The Youth RAP program has been successfully running for a number of years at University Heights. Daily attendance ranges from 17 to 30 children of various ages.
