PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A HUGE ERROR ON THE ADDRESS PORTION OF OUR LISITNG THAT WE CANNOT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO CORRECT. WE ARE NOT LOCATED IN GREENVILLE AND OUR MAILING ADDRESS IS: PO BOX 2543, PROVIDENCE, RI 02906. IT HAS JUST COME TO OUR ATTENTION AND HAVE NO IDEA HOW/WHY THAT HAPPENED!!! The mission of the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation, Inc. is to dramatically accelerate the cure for Alzheimer's disease by introducing the concept of healthy and vibrant competition to the medical and scientific community with a major cash prize - at the "Finish Line". Our goal is to raise and award a $20 million cash prize that will go to the scientist(s) who discover the cure for this insidious disease - a powerful driving force towards that end. We are certain that the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation will serve as the catalyst that will spur medical research to exciting new heights and at a record-braking speed. Please visit our website at www.alzCURE.org to learn more about us.

Description:
By adding a new, different, ground-breaking dimension to the field of medical research and introducing the concept of healthy and vibrant competition - a powerful driving force towards the cure - the benefits, ultimately, to all of humankind will be immeasurable. We are a unique organization in the area of Alzheimer's with an innovative and powerful approach towards the cure that is making medical history. What we are doing is not only unique in Alzheimer's - but also amongst all other health-related organizations.

Although immensely significant in and of itself, the cure for Alzheimer's will go way beyond that. Ultimately, people of all ages will benefit from this one cure: from preemies and infants with neurological disorders, to children with autism and other disorders, to adults with stroke-related brain damage as well as many other neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, Lou Gehrig's, Huntington's, etc. The door towards a cure will open wide for all the above and many more brain-related diseases as well as for all other forms of dementia. This one prize will ultimately impact the cure for so many dreaded diseases.

History:
The Alzheimer's CURE Foundation, Inc. is a national, public, non-profit, tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) organization. We incorporated in Rhode Island on March, 2005 and received our 501(c)(3) on January 2006. We have a web presence as of the end of April, 2006. To date, we have participated in several expo's and exhibits. Among them are: The New England Women's Expo, The Burrillville Bicentennial Family Fair, The WJAR (NBC) Health-Fit Expo. We also had a booth at Mayor Cicillini's Senior's Day at the Park. Our First, Annual Alzheimer's Harvest Charity Gala took place on November 19th, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI. Our 2nd, Annual, Alzheimer's Harvest Charity Gala was on Nov. 16th, 2007 at the Alpine Country Club. On January 4th, 2009, Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral hosted an event for us called "Epiphany Concert: Sing for the Alzheimer's CURE!", a breathtaking event that was sponsored by the Gregorian Concert Choir and Orchestra and benefited the Alzheimer's CURE Foundation in full. WJAR (NBC 10) partnered with us to promote the event.

Our latest accomplishment is a new, educational TV Program called "A Tribute to Memories... The Race for the CURE!", with cutting-edge information about everything "Alzheimer's". It airs in Rhode Island, statewide every Monday at 9:00pm (channel 13 for Cox and 32 for Verizon). In addition, in the Kent County network area (covering Warwick, W. Warwick, East Greenwich, West Greenwich, North Kingstown, Coventry and Exeter), it airs on the local, Kent County channel, every Wednesday at 7:00pm and every Sunday at 1:00pm (channel 18 for Cox and 31 for Verizon). On November 13th, 2009, we received The RI PEG award for BEST HEALTH TV PROGRAM on Public Access TV!

Amongst our luminary Board Members (as of July, 2005) is internationally renowned Dr. Teni Boulikas, who is the founder/President of the International Society for Gene Therapy and Molecular Biology. Dr. Boulikas is the person who discovered cisplatins and lipoplatins for the treatment of cancer, has laboratories around the world and was a candidate for the 2006 Nobel Prize in Medicine.
