South County Habitat for Humanity needs salespeople to help customers on Fridays and Saturdays in our ReStore area. The ReStore concept was created by Habitat for Humanity International. Stores enable Habitat affiliates to earn more money to go towards building Habitat homes while benefiting the area by keeping usable materials out of the landfills. The usable materials are sold to the public at discount prices and the money is used by the affiliate to further our mission. Salespeople should be friendly and willing to help customers by talking to them about our materials and showing them the sales areas. Also helpful if the salesperson is able to help carry and load items into customers' vehicles. Retail experience is helpful but not required. Knowledge of building equipment is helpful but not required. A commitment of one Saturday per month is preferred. Court Appointed Volunteers welcome and are expected to be upfront and forthcoming regarding the nature of their violation and all requirements of service.
