All God's Creatures Caregiver Assistant Family Friendly Teen Opportunities Member Agencies

Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on July 15, 2009

We enjoy having as residents many animals--a family of 3 llamas, two donkeys, ducks, geese, cats, visiting canines--who touch the lives of our residents, family members, staff, and area families. They require loving care, too.
After training volunteers would assist our volunteer staff caregiver in feeding the animals, cleaning their living areas, brushing some of them, and orienting visitors and residents to the animals.

Screening, training, and orientation will be provided by the Manor and our animal caregiver. A weekly commitment for at least 4 months is a minimum. Due to the caregiver's working full-time and volunteering with the animals before & after work or on lunch breaks, volunteers need to be able to work in their training & volunteering with her schedule.

This opportunity is sponsored by: Saint Elizabeth Manor, East Bay
