Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on May 14, 2009 |
The museum has several gardens which would appreciate some tender loving care throughout the summer months. There are annuals to plant with very few perennials in place. The gardens are an open palette just waiting for an interested designer to create and maintain them. People from all over the world see these gardens as they approach the museum so we would like to put on the best show we can. The volunteers would already have expertise and experience in garden planning and maintenance. Museum staff would assist with heavy work such as bed preparation and watering but the volunteer would be responsible for planting, weeding and pruning, etc. This opportunity is sponsored by: Herreshoff Marine Museum
