Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Animal Rescue League of Southern Rhode Island provides a program called Reading Pawtners in which volunteers bring their Delta Certified Pets to schools and libraries to have students read to them. This program has provided a wonderful opportunity for children (especially those with learning, social and emotional problems) to have a meaningful opportunity in a non-threatening atmosphere to practice and improve their skills and behavior.
We are currently in need of volunteers to staff this program.

Animals must be Delta or Pet Therapy certified. All volunteers will be interviewed and background checked.
