The RI Family Literacy Initiative has several opportunities for volunteers to assist in the adult beginning and intermediate English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. In Providence: -Mt. Pleasant Branch Library on Monday and/or Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30pm. -South Providence Branch Library on Tuesday and/or Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30pm. Bilingual (Spanish/English) volunteer preferred. -Casey Family Services on Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday from 9:30am to noon. -Rochambeau Branch Library on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon. In Cranston: Auburn Branch Library on Monday and/or Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. In East Providence: Riverside Branch Library on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. Please contact Karisa Tashjian, Literacy Coordinator, The Rhode Island Family Literacy Initiative (RIFLI), 401-455-8185, ktashjian@provlib.org.
