Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on February 9, 2009 |
The PICA Food Pantry is the only one downtown among eight units of subsidized housing, and we serve all of Providence. Many of our guests cannot travel to grocery stores or use the Pantry to stretch limited budgets. We would appreciate collections of canned goods (especially protein sources such as tuna fish), soup, and cereal. Run a drive at work or at school. If each child in a classroom brings in one can it would help a lot of people! We serve over 500 people a month, with each person accessing the pantry once a month. We'll pick up. No. This opportunity is sponsored by: Providence Intown Churches Association
