Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Family Resources Community Action is seeking volunteers to work in our Family Support Center bagging and organizing commodities for distribution to low income families, as well as providing administrative support. The Family Support Center, located at 245 Main Street in Woonsocket, is open Mondays 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.; Tuesdays 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1: to 2:30 p.m.; Wednesdays 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m.; Thursdays 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 6 p.m.; and Fridays 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Volunteers are welcome anytime during these hours.

The Family Support Center serves over 300 individuals a week, assisting low income individual and families with basic needs such as food, utilities and rental assistance. Volunteer assistance is needed three hours daily. Volunteers who can give less time will also be considered.

Volunteers will receive an orientation to the agency. Volunteers should have a desire to work in a social service setting.
