Volunteer Opportunity Details:

When you get your hair washed and set, styled, or cut, the world seems brighter and the day more enjoyable. Our 133 residents and short-term rehabilitation guests find that to be true.
As a volunteer you would bring residents to and from their Beauty Shop appointments, sit with them while they're waiting or getting their hair done, and enjoy conversation.
We have our own on-site beautician's parlor which was just remodeled through our employees' donations and family donations. High school age and adult volunteers have enjoyed this experience.

Background screening, training, and orientation is provided. The volunteer needs to be able to push wheelchairs or walk alongside of residents in walkers. If you have an easy manner, flexible spirit, and an enjoyment of personable conversation, this is a perfect match for you.
