Volunteer Opportunity Details:
| Last updated on July 20, 2009 |
The Warwick Historical Cemetery Commission is looking for volunteers to clean up its local cemeteries. Benjamin Franklin said "Show me first the graveyards of a country and I will tell you the true character of the people." What is your true character? Are you interested in working with your troop and cleaning an historical cemetery to earn your Eagle Scout rank? Brush and leaves and small trees have invaded many of Warwick's Historical Cemeteries and they may eventually destroy the grave stones. We need your help to cut the brush and small trees and rake the fallen leaves.
No training is required. We will provide you with a list of do's and don'ts and can provide rakes and clippers. The City will also provide yard waste bags and can pick up the bags after the project is completed This opportunity is sponsored by: Warwick Historical Cemetery Commission
