The organization recently received the rights to manage the West End Community Garden in Providence. We have developed an infrastructure that has a sustainable food system as well as creates community engagement between African and non-Africans. Currently the garden is a volunteer-tended green space that continues to seek growing food to donate to African Refugees in our community as well as educational and outreach opportunities for schools in the west end community.West End Community Garden has a vision of a food secure society where all persons will have access to fresh, healthy, and local foods, without having to make an untenable choice between food and other pressing concerns. Your time would greatly enhance the productivity of the West End Community Garden, and aid in our efforts to increase food security within Providence. This opportunity is sponsored by: African Alliance Of Rhode Island
