Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Each year, the Spirit of Giving Holiday Drive provides gifts and toys to make the winter holidays a special time for our most vulnerable families. In 2008 over 650 families received wonderful gifts from their donors.

We match sponsors with families that our staff have identified. Sponsors shop for toys and necessities from the children’s' wish lists and deliver the gifts to the agency on the dates provided to them. Staff deliver the presents before the holidays to the families.

Many volunteers are needed to help with the organization and delivery of gifts. The Drive begins on Wednesday, December 9th and ends on Wednesday, December 23. Volunteer shifts will be in 1 hour time slots starting at 9am and ending at 5pm during the weekdays. Most of the work will be done in our Providence Summer Street office with some help needed at some of our other sites.

18 years of age or older unless accompanied by an adult
Ability to repetitively lift heavy objects
Flexible and able to deal well with a changing environment
