Join the friendly Blithewold family and make a meaningful contribution to the ongoing preservation of a beautiful, historic property located on Narragansett Bay. As a Visitor Center/Gift Shop volunteer, you will enjoy the opportunity to greet and assist visitors from around the world while selling admission tickets and merchandise in a lovely, climate controlled environment. Candidates for this position must be personable, dependable and comfortable with handling money and operating a cash register. Additional duties include providing current information regarding amenities, guidelines, special events and exhibits. Numerous educational and social events are offered to the Volunteer Staff. All applicants must be available for a personal interview and be able to meet the requirements of the position. Initial and ongoing training will be provided.
