Respond to Rhode Island disasters, including fires to provide emergency assistance to those in need. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to become trained in Disaster Services and respond to emergencies. Disaster team members are on a rotating shift, responding to house fires, weather emergencies and other disasters. Opportunities to participate in disaster relief around the country are possible as well.
Interested volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application and participate in a volunteer interview. The American Red Cross offers Disaster training courses to volunteers prior to them responding to emergencies.  This opportunity is sponsored by: American Red Cross RI Chapter
