Internship - Domestic Violence Advocate for victims, their families, and the South County community. Volunteers take 4-hour shifts (9:00-1:00 or 1:00-5:00 Mon-Fri) on a weekly, bi-weekly or other regular basis at our drop-in center. Answer calls on telephone helpline and assist drop-ins. Comprehensive training and ongoing support is provided. Training is offered twice a year, in January and September. No background experience is required. Training is mandatory, as is availability during weekday hours. Applicants must have references and criminal background check is done on all applicants. Former clients of DVRCSC are asked to wait at least 18 months from last contact before applying to volunteer.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Domestic Violence Resource Center Of South County
