Every year, Leadership Rhode Island brings its graduates together with members of the community to honor our most inspiring leaders. On Thursday, February 8, 2007, we will gather to celebrate leadership and to raise funds for the next LRI class. The deadline for submitting nominations to LRI is Friday, December 8, 2006. The Emerging Leader Award, an expansion of the earlier Youth Leadership Awards given since 2002, recognizes an outstanding young person whose vision, dedication, and leadership qualities have inspired others to take action to create community change. The nominee must be 21 years of age or under, or 23 or under and enrolled full-time as an undergraduate, at the time the award is presented.
