Newport Public Schools opened its doors to the children of Newport on May 21, 1827, with the purpose of providing free public education. Project BOLD (Books Open Life's Doors) helps students in grades K-5 build literacy skills, so that they may achieve their full potential.  Literacy is such a major building block to a child's school and life-long success.   Find out about volunteering thru Project BOLD at Newport Public Schools.  Be sure to let everyone know that the Volunteer Center of RI is helping you to find out about these great volunteer opportunities at www.vcri.org!
