Agency Details:
Danbury Health Volunteer Corps
The City of Danbury Health Department has developed plans in the event that the community needs to be vaccinated or provided medicines in a public health emergency, as determined by state and federal officials. Depending on the event, residents will be notified of the POD location where vaccinations or medications and information about the threat and treatment will be provided. In order to effectively carry out these plans, we need volunteers. Health Volunteer Corp Members are trained individuals who respond and assist during a public health emergency. If you are interested in becoming a preparedness volunteer please join the Health Volunteer Corps for Danbury.
Description:
Medical and Non-Medical volunteers who are interested in assisting in the City's future emergency preparedness drills and exercises, at mass dispensing clinics during natural or man-made disasters, or to fill current opportunities at our Emergency Shelter. Equipment and training will be provided. If you are interesting in becoming a member of the Health Volunteer Corps, please contact us. Your support and expertise would be greatly valued.
