Organized in 1951 by farmer Harold Brundage, other farmers, and homeowners of the King Street area. After a long, and drastic need, the residents decided to organize. The first meeting was held at the King Street United Church Of Christ.July 1951.Danbury had 2 municipalities at the time. (city and town).Town fire protection was a distance away.Fire depts. from other districts in Danbury had to respond. So history speaks for itself. An idea!!, A dream!!. 50 plus years, and still going strong!.Danbury's youngest fire dept.
