Jewish Federation, The

The Jewish Federation represents the Jewish community and promotes unity among Jewish groups and organizations to enhance the welfare and quality of life of the local Jewish population.

Description:
The Jewish Federation serves as the representative agency for the Jewish community and maintains a relationship between the Jewish community and the community at large. The Federation promotes unity and cooperation among Jewish organizations and groups in the community and encourages programs that will enhance the general welfare and quality of life of the local Jewish population. This organization will receive, hold, and administer funds, gifts, bequests, or otherwise real or personal property and will distribute this money for philanthropic and cultural needs.

History:
For over 55 years, The Jewish Federation has served our Greater Danbury region representing the Jewish community and promoting unity among Jewish groups and organizations to enhance the welfare and quality of life of the local Jewish population. The Federation coordinates fundraising efforts for the benefit of local, national, and international Jewish groups and organizations.
