Golden Opportunities seeks volunteers who can give a minimum of two hours per month assisting with programs and activities (Bingo, Chinese Auctions, The Price is Right, Penny Auctions, etc.) at area elder care facilities. These programs are in addition to those offered by the facilities’ recreation departments. Golden Opportunities provides the training and prizes. Volunteers provide the energy, sense of fun, and smiles. Golden Opportunities requires a minimum of 2 hours per month for at least a 6 month period from each volunteer. We also require completion of an application and a brief (1/2 hr) orientation. Volunteers may also be required to complete a training session at whichever facility they will be visiting.
