An intern is needed to assist with the implementation of the Youth Health Service Corps. The program increases awareness of careers in health care for high school students in the Waterbury area. The intern would assist in teaching and recruiting the students, help place students as volunteers in health care settings, and develop curriculum for special projects such as oral health for children. This position is a great fit for a college student or college graduate looking to serve the community and/or who is interested in attending health professional school. The opportunity could be used to fulfill college internship or volunteer hours. The hours are flexible. Teaching experience is NOT necessary, but the intern should be willing to use her or his energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm to instruct and inspire high school students about careers in health care. This opportunity is sponsored by: Northwestern CT-Area Health Ed. Center
