Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Volunteers needed to be present on-site during overnight hours. This is a sleep-in position. Come before 9:00 p.m. and leave after 6:00 a.m. Capable of being trained in the procedures needed to carry out the position. Must be 25 years or older and speak fluent English. Both weekday and weekend night help is needed. The homeless shelter is located at a different New Milford faith community each month. The shelter usually operates from early November to early April.

Short 30 minute training on procedures is required of all volunteers prior to staying overnight. New volunteers will be paired with a volunteer that has experience to assure a good evening for all.
