The Emergency Food Pantry supplies a three day supply of free food to low-income families. Clients are given two bags of non-perishable food, a box of cereal and two frozen meats. Volunteers are needed to staff the food pantry on the days that it is open. Our pantry is open weekly on Thursdays from 1 to 4 PM. It is located at New Hope Baptist Church, #10 Aaron Samuels Boulevard in Danbury. Volunteers are required to stock and distribute food the day that the pantry is open, and make periodic visits to restock the food pantry with supplies. Therefore, volunteers must be physically able to pick up and carry bags of food. This opportunity is sponsored by: Community Action Committee Of Danbury (CACD)
