40% of 3rd grade children read below grade level! You can help change this statistic by becoming a Reading Partner. Volunteers commit to working with the same student one hour a week at a Danbury elementary school. Students are selected by the school and assigned to the tutor. Volunteers choose the day and time they are available. This program follows the Danbury public school calendar. Tutor training is provided by the school.
