Candlewood Lake Clean-Up 2004

Come join the Candlewood Lake Authority, Lake Candlewood Power Squadron, Project CLEAR students and others in cleaning up the shores of Connecticut's largest lake!
Saturday May 22nd from 9:30am to 3:30pm (Rain date of Sunday May23rd.)

*Volunteers must register to participate by either calling the CLA at (860) 354-6928 or sending email to claadmin@earthlink.net *

Registered volunteers will meet at designated locations in the morning and then will be transported by boat to clean-up sites on the lake. After several hours of community service, volunteers will be transported to the New Fairfield Town Beach for a buffet luncheon provided by Chuck's Steak House, Widow Brown's Cafe, Rosy Tomorrows, Two Steps Downtown Grill, the American Pie Co. and Stew Leonard's before being brought back to their point of origin.

Prizes will be awarded at the luncheon for most unusual trash item and largest trash item transported back to the beach.

Volunteers are recommended to wear long sleeve shirts and long pants and to bring sunscreen and water.

All participants will receive a tee shirt commemorating the event
