The mission of Connecticut Community Boating, Inc. is to offer area residents affordable and fun access to Long Island Sound and its headwaters. We provide a physically and psychologically beneficial experience while keeping our student’s safety and enjoyment as our first priority. We do this through a complete array of training programs that emphasize self-esteem building, good seamanship, teamwork, community consciousness, and environmental responsibility; while promoting good stewardship of our greatest natural resource.

Description:
Connecticut Community Boating, Inc provides various boating opportunities from Sailing to powerboating to kayaking in an effort to promote Long Island Sound and the Greater Bridgeport Community. We are now in third year of opporation and are filing our 501c3 application. However we now operate as a subsidiary of The Cardinal Shehan Center who act as our fiscal sponsor. Our current budget is below $100,000 but we expect to grow that budget over the next year and given this expected growth hope to engage over 100 volunteers to support our mission and efforts.

History:
When we began in March 2007, the CCB, Inc plan was little more than an idea: How do we get as many people out on the water as possible? Just one year later, our fleet expanded to 50 boats and we were setting sail for the future of the Park City. Our Board is now comprised of 9 individuals from around the area from Stamford to New Haven. Last year we served over 200 individuals and this yar plan to expand that number to more than 600
