The STAR Foundation, Inc.

The STAR Foundation, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, in particular for the purpose of advancing the welfare and the quality of life of people with developmental disabilities in the towns of Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport, Weston, Wilton, CT and the surrounding areas. Including for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3)of the Internal revenue code.

Description:
The STAR Foundation, Inc. raises funds through direct contributions, planned giving and special events. Each year, the Foundation distributes funds to selected organizations through a grant making process.

History:
The STAR Foundation, Inc. was formed in 1993. To date $1.8 Million has been distributed to agencies that support and or advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities.
