The mission of the Jackie Robinson Park of Fame, Inc. is to teach youth through academics, cultural exposure, hands-on activities and community services, the confidence, courage and perseverance that emulate Jackie Robinson's life. Through educational, cultural and service events, role modeling and example. Our programs promote a message of hope.

Description:
Our agency puts on community events such as:
Turkey baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving.

Host an Annual Christmas Program. Feeling needy children and their families, provide entertainment and give toys to all children 12 years and under. We service between 500 and 700 children and their families for this event at a local Community Center.

We also host a back to school supplies event, children receive a back-pack filled with school supplies for the start of school.

Take children on educational and cultural trips.


History:
At our inception we have provided a summer day camp and after school programing also special trips for the youth. Erected a life size statue of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, the first Afro-American to break the color barrier in Major League Baseball. Distribution of free back packs and school supplies to match the grade level each child will enter for the year.
