SCORE provides professional guidance and information, accessible to all, to maximize the success of America's existing and emerging small businesses.

Description:
Our SCORE Chapter is located at 24 Belden Avenue in Norwalk and handles clients from the 8 communities in lower Fairfield county. We currently have 56 volunteer members that provide approximately 3000 counseling sessions a year. We counsel small business owners or prospective owners on various aspects of business(including helping them solve business problems or making a business plan). Our counselors are former business owners or have extensive business backgrounds.

History:
SCORE was founded in 1964 and is partially funded through Congress via the Small Business Administration. The Norwalk SCORE Chapter has been serving Lower Fairfield county since the late 1960's. We have been one of the top Chapters in Connecticut for the last ten years and also was the top Chapter nationally in 2007.
