Looking to make a Splash? How about volunteering at Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration? Nothing fishy about this opportunity, in fact you’ll have a whale of a time spending your day working at one of the nation’s top aquariums, and home to famed ocean explorer, Dr. Robert Ballard, who discovered the Titanic.We have many opportunities available for volunteers from being a docent, administrative help, education programs, scuba diving, and animal care. Some biology background and public speaking experience helpful. *Relay accurate, consistent, quality information about Mystic Aquarium and its collection to guests of all ages, either in groups or one-on-one.*Initiate contact with guests, providing a positive experience through being helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.*Crowd control as needed.*Update, review and understand material in personal Docent Handbook. *Provide a positive experience through being helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable.
