The Young Parents Program supports pregnant teens and young mothers as they transition into their roles as parents. In addition to providing prenatal/parenting education and support, YPP clinicians help young parents further their educational and vocation goals. They also provide the teens with support and information critical to preventing a second unplanned pregnancy.
Volunteer(s) are need in this program to assist staff with regular office duties that include follow up phone calls, completion of paperwork and referrals to other local programs for clients.

Due to the volume of clients in this program, volunteers must be able to commit to one hour per week at our Stamford office for this position. Volunteers should also be comfortable making outbound calls on behalf of staff and clients and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Spanish speaking volunteers are encouraged to apply.

Directions:
 Going North on 95-Exit 6(Harvard Avenue)-At the end of the exit ramp, go straight across Harvard Avenue to next cross street, West Avenue. Turn left on West Avenue. Follow West Avenue to the end(gas station on right corner). Bear left around island and follow Stillwater Avenue to traffic light. Make a left and continue around big curve to traffic light(golf course and restaurant on the right). Turn left at light onto Palmer's Hill Road. Keep to the left and follow Palmer's Hill (a very short distance) to second light, halfway up the hill. Turn left onto private road(Family Centers/United Way sign is at the beginning of the road). The agency is the last building on the right, two story white brick building.

  Nearest Bus Stop: J bus to Connecticut Avenue, 5 minutes minute walk
