Every year the Stamford Museum & Nature Center hosts seasonal festivals such as Spring on the Farm, Harvest Spooktacular and Maple Sugar Sunday. SM&NC festivals draw a family audience from Fairfield and Westchester Counties that numbers in the thousands. The visitors enjoy learning about old-time hobbies and talents which are fast being forgotten. We are seeking individuals and groups to share their know-how by volunteering to give demonstrations at our festivals. Examples of demonstrations might include, but are not limited to: Barbershop Quartet Basket Making Calligraphy Copper Smith Country & Western Dance Crocheting Musical Instruments such as Banjo, Dulcimer or Mandolin Soap Making Square Dance Stained Glass Tin Smith Rug Braiding Rug Hooking Ukrainian Egg Decoration Weaving Woodcarving Do you have an idea for a demonstration?
