Project Length and Hours:
This is an on-going assignment. Ideally seeking a volunteer to commit to a minimum of 4 hrs/day or 1 day a week. Work can sometimes be done from home, depending upon the assignment.

Summary:
AmeriCares is a nonprofit international relief organization delivering medicines, medical supplies and aid to people in crisis around the world and across America. Since 1982, AmeriCares has delivered more than $8 billion in humanitarian aid to 137 countries.

Project Scope:
We are currently seeking a volunteer to assist us with contract review for a wide variety of legal documents and agreements. Documents being reviewed may be new agreements in the pipeline or in-force agreements in need of risk assessment review and recommendation.

Documents and contracts vary in nature and may include Real Estate agreements, Grant documents, Donor contracts, Program agreements and Pharmaceutical partnership agreements. This function, while managed from the Finance department, interacts with the entire organization, depending upon the contract.

We are looking for an experienced contract attorney, either someone who is currently practicing or recently retired. Does not need to be a member of the CT Bar.
