Connecticut Legal Services operates a free legal clinic for day laborers who have been cheated out of their earnings by employers. The clinic operates on the second and fourth Wednesday from 6pm to about 9:30 pm. CLS is seeking volunteers who can interpret for the Spanish-speaking workers during clinic hours. The clinic takes place in the Stamford office of Connecticut Legal Services at 20 Summer Street. Training is available but it is not mandatory to go through training before you begin. Ability to speak and write Spanish is a must.  This opportunity is sponsored by: Connecticut Legal Services, Inc.

At the fourth light, turn left onto Broad Street

North on I-95
Take Exit 8 (Atlantic Street)
At the first light, turn left onto Atlantic Street
At the fifth light, turn left onto Broad Street.
At the next light, turn left onto Summer Street.
20 Summer Street is on the right at the end of the block.
From the Merritt Parkway:
South to Exit 35 (High Ridge Road).
Turn right on High Ridge Road.
Continue south for 4.5 miles.
High Ridge Road becomes Summer Street (a one way street).
20 Summer Street is on the right.
Parking:
There is metered parking in the lot outside the building.
At the end of Summer Street, there is a parking garage. |
