As a volunteer for Nurturing Families, you will provide educational and personal support to first time mothers who give birth at Stamford or Greenwich Hospital. Weekly or bi-weekly telephone support calls, monthly milestone educational mailings and research are all a part of this unique program helping to provide first time parents with information on everything from newborn feeding, to childcare, to stress management. Volunteers can also take part in seminars hosted at Family Centers for moms and babies.

A 1 1/2 hour training is required before volunteering can begin, but once completed, the hours are flexible and volunteers can work out of our Greenwich office (20 Bridge Street) or Stamford office (60 Palmer's Hill Road). Evening hours are available.
