Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Tully Health Center is the crossroads of the community. It is always busy with visitors going to doctors offices, treatment areas and other locations. Volunteers are an integral part of the team who are needed to greet patients and visitors in the main lobby, to offer directions and to assist them to their destinations if necessary.
Answer phones and help with light clerical jobs.
Assist departments as needed with discharging patients.
Ensure that there are wheelchairs available in the main lobby.

Volunteers are required to attend a general orientation followed by on-the-job training. Volunteers must have a PPD test for tuberculosis. This is provided free of charge. QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent hearing and interpersonal skills; outgoing...Compassionate...Flexible...Able to uphold high standards of patient privacy and confidentiality...Physically able to move about freely and to handle a wheelchair...Works well with a team...Bi-lingual a plus but not required

A terrific learning experience I learn so much while I'm over there

I'm a volunteer in Stamford Hospital working in the Medical Records department. Everyone has been nice and helpful to me make me feel at home.
