Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Rehab Unit receives rave reviews from patients. Not only because of the excellent care, but because of the teamwork exhibited between volunteers and staff. Volunteers assist the gym area by lending an extra pair of hands with patients while they exercise, i.e., tossing a ball for eye/hand coordination. Volunteers also escort them from their rooms to the gym on the same floor. This position allows you to to socialize with patients and the pleasure of watching their progress. Help would be appreciated mornings or afternoons, 1 to 3 p.m., once a week. Attendance at a general orientation, a completed application and a scheduled interview to discuss next steps. On the job training will be provided. A pleasant demeanor, the ability to push a wheel-chair and a desire to be of help in a friendly and warm atmosphere is all that is required.
