The Red Cross of America – Greenwich Chapter deals with seven different functional areas to prepare for and respond to disasters locally, statewide and nationally. For example, some of our volunteer positions include: community service, mental health, physical health, client casework, sheltering, feeding and communications as well as many more. We are looking for volunteers to, assist in times of need, as well as help prepare prior to a crisis situation as well as educate community members on how to prepare during and prior to disaster situations. Your time is valuable, as we understand so your time commitment is flexible and varies, there are training opportunities available and we offer a meet and greet as well as tour of the Red Cross. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get involved in the community as well as meet new and interesting people

Volunteer Reflections    Post Your Own!

4 Overall Experience    Experience rating
Rewarding way to serve the community
The work done by volunteers at the Red Cross includes teaching first aid and CPR classes, volunteering to man first-aid stations at large outdoor events, and helping people who have been displaced from their homes by fire or natural disasters. One important point is that the Greenwich Chapter has moved to 99 Indian Field Road (1 block from I-95 exit 4).
