Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Last updated on December 23, 2008

The American Red Cross originated long ago growing from one man's spontaneous gesture to help wounded soldiers, to becoming an organization reaching out to millions of war victims around the world. The Red Cross and International Red Cross have worked in most of the major crises of the past 140 years as well as most major cities and almost every country. We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with our international relations breaking down communication barriers. We are looking for volunteers who can help to represent more than 40 languages to interpret.

To volunteer please visit our website www.greenwichredcross.org and click on link What Can I do?, then Volunteer and download an application and authorization form. Completed forms should be:

Volunteer Reflections    Post Your Own!

4 Overall Experience    Experience rating
Rewarding way to serve the community
The work done by volunteers at the Red Cross includes teaching first aid and CPR classes, volunteering to man first-aid stations at large outdoor events, and helping people who have been displaced from their homes by fire or natural disasters. One important point is that the Greenwich Chapter has moved to 99 Indian Field Road (1 block from I-95 exit 4).
