Volunteer instructors cover how to care for, supervise and understand the development of children as well as learn accident prevention techniques and what to do in an emergency. Position reports to the Health Services Chair and Director. Time commitment includes 17 hours of training, flexibility with teaching. To volunteer please visit our website www.greenwichredcross.org and click on link What Can I do?, then Volunteer and download an application and authorization form. Completed forms should be: Mailed or Dropped Off to: Andrew Sindell, Greenwich Chapter, American Red Cross, 99 Indian Field Road, Greenwich, CT 06830 or: Faxed to : 203-869-0192 Only Completed Applications and the Authorization Forms will be processed. We will then contact you to set up an orientation. Thank you for your interest and look forward to meeting with you at the orientation.
Instructors must be at least 17 years old and certified through the Red Cross babysitting program. Required training: Red Cross Orientation, Fundamentals of Instructor Training, and Babysitter Instructor training.  This opportunity is sponsored by: American Red Cross, Greenwich Chapter

Overall Experience

Rewarding way to serve the community

The work done by volunteers at the Red Cross includes teaching first aid and CPR classes, volunteering to man first-aid stations at large outdoor events, and helping people who have been displaced from their homes by fire or natural disasters.
